1. We received an NVR grant in 2025. Are we eligible to reapply for the 2026 grant cycle?
Yes. If you have received funding from us in the past, you are eligible to reapply.
2. I am in the grant portal and it is telling me that I am not eligible to apply at this time.

3. We have applied for an NVR grant in the past and cannot access the current application.
Please check your email inbox for an email from us containing an access code for returning applicants. If you cannot find it, please reach out to gabriela@commoncounsel.org for the code.
4. I am unable to log into my user profile or the previous user account that applied for my organization is no longer active.
Please reach out to gabriela@commoncounsel.org for help resetting your password. Make sure to include your full name and the name of your organization in the email.
5. If I was invited to apply for NVR/MC multi year funding initiative, can I still apply for single year funding?
Yes! We encourage all organizations to apply for Single-Year funding even if you have been invited to apply for Multi-Year Funding ( you would have received an email invitation about this opportunity for those organizations who qualified)
Applying for both are not mutually exclusive, and we want to ensure your work continues to be supported.
NOTE: If you are selected for multi-year Funding, your application for single-year funding will be deactivated, as we can only offer one type of grant per fiscal year to an organization. Multi-year grant decisions will come before single-year grant decisions. If you are not chosen for multi-year funding this cycle, your single-year application will still be valid and considered as part of our participatory grantmaking decision process.
6. We are a fiscally sponsored project whose fiscal sponsor organization is shifting after we submit our application OR we are a 2025 grant partner whose fiscal sponsor has changed since last year. How do we communicate this change to NVR?
